In this article we analyze the construction of the image of Mary Magdalene in the film. The known character of the Gospels, being directly connected to events relating to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, has always been present in the film productions of Christ, in this article to see how her image is constructed in film and TV, and new meanings that she acquires in this process.

I attempted to establish the characteristics of what roughly we could call the religious genre.

A very important issue in productions involving religion or religious intent is the behavior of those who are involved in the making of films. This article explores the various moments where directors and actors have behaved not only a religious but also linked to their performance the sacralization of their actions so they could "bless" the final product. The sacralization of manufacture is a very old established fact at least since the Middle Ages, when painters and sculptors were engaged to their work taken to respect religious, they often were fasting and praying as their work place.

The Passion of the Gaumont, aesthetic and narrative analysis. - Planned

One of the most important production of films of Christ, in 1906, deserves a detailed analysis. In this article I examine the naturalism of the production and check the differences between the production of Alice Guy and of Ferdinand Zecca, the rival producer, the Pathé.

The representation of Transcendent Films of Christ in the first film. The aesthetic influence of Tissot. - Planned

One issue that often seems incidental to the films of Christ, but who nevertheless became an important information because the collective imagination, is to as the "transcendent" is represented. Análise do vídeo cômico realizado por Javier Prato para ser veiculado na internet, e que mostra um ator caracterizado de Jesus Cristo assumindo sua homossexualidade. Neste artigo exploro a idéia da comicidade e porque ela não se adequa à pessoa de Jesus Cristo, mas sim à sua imagem.

O Filme como Manufatura do Sagrado. - planejado
Uma questão bastante importante nas produções que envolvem religiosos ou intenções religiosos é o comportamento daqueles que estão envolvidos na realização dos filmes. Neste artigo exploro os diversos momentos onde diretores e atores se comportaram não apenas de forma religiosa como também vincularam à sua atuação a sacralização dos seus atos para que pudessem de alguma forma “santificar” o produto final. A sacralização da manufatura é um fato bastante antigo verificado ao menos desde a Idade Média, onde pintores e escultores dedicavam-se ao seu labor tomados de respeito religiosos, muitas vezes jejuando e orando enquanto realizam seus trabalho.

Uma questão que as vezes parece acessória aos filmes de Cristo, mas, que no entanto se torna um importante dado que informa o imaginário coletivo, é a de como o “transcendente” é representado. Tudo aquilo que pertence ao mundo não material aqui será considerado como sendo um aspecto do “transcendente”. É importante verificar que no início do cinema e durante muito tempo não havia um modelo muito claro de como deveriam ser mostrados os anjos no cinema, ou até mesmo fantasmas, e quiçá Deus. Neste sentido, a irrupção do sagrado é representada de forma visual e nos informa como essa experiência diante do sobrenatural deve acontecer.

Neste artigo faço um estudo minucioso da forma como Cecil B. DeMille irá mostrar os aspectos transcendentes em seus filmes de tema religioso. O conhecido diretor tem uma influência enorme neste tipo de produção fílmica, e acabou por estabelecer formas e maneiras de se representar a irrupção do sagrado. Verificarei como isso ocorre e mapearei as influências destas escolhas e tentarei estabelecer aquilo que é a contribuição original deste diretor.

A Paixão de Horitz se tratava de um Registro documental, buscarei afastar a idéia da narrativa da Paixão como sendo o fio condutor.
